Here is a glimpse into the wild, wacky and sometimes confusing world of DJ Tiger A.K.A. Sean Paul Jackson. I hope this blog and all of its rantings will incite you to comment and participate.

Summer Time in Chicago
Let me start off by saying that I do not like summer.. I don't particularly care for winter either, but if I had to choose between the two I would choose winter. Its much easier to warm up than it is to cool off. Think about it, in the winter you can layer up and keep layering until you are warm enough to take the cold subfreezing temperatures. In the summer, there is only so much you can take off; and according to my grandmother and medical professionals you should NOT be outside in the sun in hot weather with out something covering your skin. Contrary to popular belief (MEN), while you may get added attention for showing off your pecs or lack there of, it does not make you cooler and will eventually damage your skin.
Now you may be asking, well tiger.. what about Spring and Fall. Whats that? If you live in Chicago, you know that we dont have those seasons. If you are one of my readers that lives in an area thats privileged to have all four seasons let me explain... Lets take this year, 2011. It was seasonably cold (50's & 60's) clear through the month of May with maybe 2 or 3 HOT (85+) days during that month and maybe one or two days in the 70's. Now here we are in June and its 100 degrees. It went from cold to hell. The plants are confused.
Another aspect of Chicago summer that I do not like is that damn Lake Michigan. It adds a level of humidity to our air that makes it unbearable to come outside. I'm taking take your breath away type of heat. 100 degrees in Chicago will feel like 120. I have not had a chance to ride my bike nor have not been outside to hang with friends at the park. I have just been in the house enjoying the little bit of air I have (window air conditioners).
In closing, this rant is bring brought to you because I WANNA GO OUTSIDE. And i have things to do, but when I wake up at 8am and its already 82 degrees outside its more than a bit discouraging. God forbid I have a job interview during anyday when the temperature is above 80. Can you imagine wearing a suit in 100 degree heat?
Sigh.. just gotta suck it up and hope i don't fall out. I GOTTA get outta this house.
